Hi,

I am a newbie here.
I live in Europe. After reading the below lines, I am in doubt if I am allowed to read this book. Could you please clarify if I am allowed to contribute?
Volunteers outside the USA: Caroline Dale Snedeker died in 1956. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 50 years; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.

It depends where you are. If you are in the US, it is fine. All our projects have to be public domain in the US, as that’s where our servers are. However, other countries often use the author’s (or translator’s) date of death as the guideline. Canada and some other countries use 50 years as their rule but many countries say 70 years. You would need to find the law in your country and apply it as necessary.
