Love reading about my beloved redwoods. We have them as far north as Coos County, Oregon.
I worked in the mills there, which are long gone, but we worked primarily with Douglas Fir. Some massive logs which in retrospect were probably "old growth." What we've done to our forests is sad.

Oh this article turned out to be shorter than I expected, it could well have been one section instead of two parts.
