War's Embers, by Ivor Gurney (1890 - 1937)

A collection of poems by the Gloucestershire-born English poet Ivor Gurney describing his feelings about the First World War, during which he served on the Western Front and was wounded by a mustard gas attack, and it's aftermath (Summary by Alan Mapstone)

Leave 0.5 to 1 second of silence at the beginning.

For section 0
  • At the beginning say:

Following the popularity of the previous Gurney collection, here is a larger collection of often longer poems. I expect this to take rather longer to complete but will see how it goes. Again I will read quite a few of the poems myself.

An MC and DPL would be most welcome :D

I found this book online a few years ago and fell in love with it!!!

I noticed you said claims were open (yay!) so could I claim Girl's Song (09), To His Love (23), and Upstairs Piano (34) please?
