At around 19:15 you read "'10,000 - 100,000 lightnings!' wailed Hans" two times. One of those needs to be edited out. The chapter is marked See PL notes until that happens.

This chapter has quite the cliffhanger ending. What a great start to this book.
Thanks for catching. (I knew it was repeated, I just forgot to delete it. )

Greetings to the other hemisphere - to both other hemispheres.

The silence at the beginning of your recording should be at least 1/2 second (but not more than a second). What you have is about 1/4 second. You should edit some more silence onto the beginning of the chapter to bring it up to half a second.

A note to keep in mind: your breath is getting into the microphone here and there and making a thump. This is happing here and there throughout, for example at ~0:22 in the word 'cheery', ~3:41 in the word 'straw', ~3:41 in the word 'was', and more. You can reduce this in future recordings with a purchased or home made pop filter -or- by repositioning your microphone. If you hold a hand in front of your mouth and make a few "P" and "T" noises you should feel a puff of breath hit your hand. This is the direction you do not want the mic to be in. If the microphone is off a bit to the side or perhaps above the level of your mouth - still pointed at your mouth - you'll be able to record your voice without the unwanted pops.

One pigeon landed on both of Bobby's shoulders?? How strange. But that's the way it is in the text, so you did it right.

The chapter is See PL notes for now, but once you edit some more silence onto the front and upload it again it will be fine.

Thanks, loon. I've tried to get to some of the more major "popping" sounds. I had the microphone above my mouth, but I think next time I'll try having it below and see if that makes a difference, otherwise I might have to resort to "pop removal" technology. :? :D

Chapter 8 - An Encounter With The Tiger

At ~17 seconds you need to say, "Billy Whiskers' Travels, by Frances Trego Montgomery."

Everything else is just fine, just get the author's name in there and upload again please.

Billy Whiskers was extremely lucky to survive a fight with a tiger - pointy horns up against pointy teeth and pointy claws; Billy was severely outclassed.
