Hi and welcome to Librivox!
There are a few things to do before you get started.
You will need to complete a one minute test - this is to check your specs are up to Librivox standards, and if not, you'll be given hints on how to remedy that. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Please post your test in the Listeners Wanted forum (see the dropdown at the bottom of the page) for the speediest response. Waiting for the OK may seem tedious, but can save time in the long run. Your section will be held for 1 month pending your test. Please keep in touch if there is a problem.
You will also need to be added to the catalog of readers. I will add you using your forum name, but if you prefer your real name or a pseudonym let me know. We can also link to a personal blog or website. If you click on your name in the Magic Window, you will be taken to your catalog page.Be sure to read the first post - all the info you need is there, but if anything doesn't make sense, just ask. The wiki (see the top of the page) has bundles of info too.

Ok, I am computer dumb, data entry only it seems. Where is the wiki? I seem to find it only by accident and today is not that day. Also what do I do to get the 1 minute test to load in listeners? I don' t see it or don't recognize it. I hope I am not too much trouble, but I am lost. I tried on the upload sight and got a clear with trash can but I guess that didn't work, or I have 50 test in there.

The wiki link is at the top of every page (called Guide for Listeners and Volunteers). If you follow the link I posted in this thread, it will take you specifically to the one minute test page, but there is a search box at the side if you want to look up something else. There is a lot of information, so I recommend only looking if you want something specific at firstrandomideas wrote: ↑September 10th, 2021, 6:26 am Ok, I am computer dumb, data entry only it seems. You can use the uploader link in the first post of this thread for uploading your test. You need to select an MC, which should be “tests”, which is near the bottom of the drop down menu. When you upload you will get a link. Copy that link into a new post in the Listeners Wanted forum. I think they ask what software (e.g. audacity, GarageBand) you are using in case they need to give you specific advice.
Don’t worry… most of us have problems of one sort or another when we start out. It gets easier.
