Thank you very much for the chance to do a reading!

EXCELLENT recording!
I look forward to having it as part of this project.

Once you get used to these tech specs and formats you will be breezing along and hope we will hear a lot of your voice here on LibriVox!

Let me know if you have any questions about any of this.
Not a problem! And thank you for the detailed critiques! This was my first time so there was a lot of aspects that went over my head. I'll make the changes and have the updated recording sent to you soon.

Thanks for working on this!
You did forget to give us the file length, but I've entered it for you and put this up Ready for PL.
All of the specs check out, but you will need to adjust the silences at the beginning and end; both are too long

Begining: 1/2 to 1 second. No more
End: About 5 seconds only.

Wait until you get your PL report in case there are any other changes.
But, as I said, the reading itself sounds terrific!

Thanks again.

Hi Dave, Your recording made Section 11 much more interesting than would otherwise be the case.
Notes Section 11:
Shorten beginning silence to no more than 1 second.
Shorten ending silence to no more than 5 seconds.
I need Larry to weigh in on the author credits for this Section. There are two different ones. Which are to be recorded? So when this is answered you can add the author credit(s) and date(s) to this section.

Very clear and patient recording!
Just one note for Section 22:
0:38 remove repeat of Section Title

Aha, let me clear up the mystery, and my mistake.

There are actually TWO articles with almost identical titles.
The first is:
Natural, Prolific, Hardy Queens.PART 2.(Continued from July Number, page 11.) by John M. Price. Buffalo Grove, Iowa.
The Second is:
Natural and prolific hardy Queens. by Ch. Dadant Hamilton, Ills., July 24, 1870.

You've read the second one followed by the first one as if they were one article. You will notice, though, that Hamilton refers to Price in his article.

This misunderstanding is aided by my mistake of mislabeling Section 10 as Correspondence of the Bee Journal (which is actually section 24)

So, here is what I would suggest, if you can do it.

In the current recording, after "the queens raised in small nuclei are as good as those raised in full stocks." add "Charles Dadant Hamilton, Ills., July 24, 1870." and then the "outro" and submit it again as Section 11.

Then, since you have what should be Section 10 already recorded after that, just read new intro for it, and begin with, "Natural, Prolific, Hardy Queens.PART 2.(Continued from July Number, page 11.)" and at the end read, "John M. Price. Buffalo Grove, Iowa." followed by your "outro." Then submit it as Section 10.

In anticipation of that, I will adjust the MW accordingly.

Sorry for the confusion and the part I played in it, but I hope we will end up with a good result.

-- I'm leaving early tomorrow for a two-week trip, but I should be able to keep in touch even if there are some delays.
