Section 5, Vittoria, is PL OK. What a beautiful, tragic, love story. Glad it ended well.

New and improved section 2,3, and 29. I fixed the time of silence and pronunciation. let me know if there are any other issues.

Edits on Section 2 are great! On 2 of the 3 pieces, (I can't remember which because I forgot to write it down) the beginning and ending silences are still too long (ranging from 2 to 30 seconds). Intro should be 1 second. Outro 5 seconds. This is to assure that those various mp3 players out there that clip a bit from beginning and end don't clip your reading, but not so long as to waste bandwidth (or the listener's time).

My Daddy used to say: "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." I always thought it was a boy scout motto, but later learned he never was a boy scout! It came from a teacher he had in high school. :D

I have only been to Venice once, but it seems to have inspired more poetry than any other city on earth :)

Venice is PL OK. Thank you. Visiting Venice is on my bucket list, too! It is well described in Francis M. Crawford's novel, Marietta, A Maid of Venice.

PL Notes Section 26

1:01 and fleets attend thy progress to the sea, I hear "freets atten", and there are birds chirping in the background. It's such unusual and wonderful imagery to end the poem on, I hope you will re-record this phrase.

Checker warns of excessive background noise and recommends a noise cleaning. To do this in Audacity, select about 4 seconds of silence from the end of your file, go Effects/Noise Reduction/Get Noise Profile. Then select the entire file, go Effect/Noise Reduction/set settings to 12, 6, 3, Reduce/OK. This should cut down the hissy background noise by about half, without affecting your voice quality, which is very good. NOTE: Different people use different settings, so feel free to experiment, and beware that if you do additional passes it might begin to affect the quality.

While you are at it, your volume at 86.2, is at the very low end of LV's acceptable range. Before noise cleaning above, I'd grab the whole file and go Effects/Amplify +3. And before you record anything else, adjust volume or gain on your mike or Audacity volume slider.

Make these adjustments, reupload your file using the same file name, post it here and I'll check it again.

Section 26 revised

and Section 30 - St John's

I have had comments before about birds chirping on my recordings. I keep forgetting to shut the windows before I start
Unfortunately I myself never hear the bird song, either live or on recordings, as my hearing is deteriorating as I get older and I can no longer hear higher frequencies :(
