Selections from Aunt Sammy's Radio Recipes and USDA Favorites, by Ruth van Deman (1888 - 1948) and Fanny Walker Yeatman (1876 - 1962)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/selections-from-aunt-sammys-radio-recipes-and-usda-favorites-by-ruth-van-deman/

Volunteers outside the USA: Fanny Walker Yeatman died in 1962. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 50 years; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
From the book introduction: "Aunt Sammy came to life with the first radio broadcast of 'Housekeeper’s Chat' on October 4, 1926. The character of Aunt Sammy—wife of Uncle Sam—was created by the USDA Bureau of Home Economics and the Radio Service. Many women across the country played the part as they spoke into the microphones of local radio stations."

This book has two sections -- Recipes from the 1920's and Recipes from the 1970's - soups to desserts. (Summary by Larry Wilson)

Thanks for the early submission, Betty!
I may have to advertise for a DPL, but I'll wait until after the holiday weekend.

Thank you for your interest.
I've signed you up for these. Just let me know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog -- real name, pseudonym, or any nickname you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of you LV work.

This makes this project fully subscribed. :D

For sure need to advertise for a DPL.
