Hi - just letting the group know I haven't forgotten or bailed on finishing my sections. I will upload fixes to 10, 11, 16, and 17 this week. I am halfway done with section 18.

Something odd happens midway thru this section. At about 13:59 the text abruptly cuts off and starts over at the beginning of the chapter. The break is at the beginning of the entry for May 31 1777. From 13:59-27:55 is a repeat of the first part of the chapter, then continues forward from that point and includes through “paid the forfeiture of my folly” on page 225, which is where the file abruptly ends. The remaining text from page 225-232 is missing, as is the outro. I think there may have been a cutting and pasting error during editing that obliterated the second half of the file.

Aside from this the only other edited needed is to add “part 1” at the end of the intro, after the chapter title.

I listened again to the copy I uploaded, and re-downloaded (hope that's okay ) to see if it matched. It seems to be intact. Maybe something went wrong when you downloaded it?

Anyway, I will add the "part 1" and re-upload, along with the missing "part 1/2" of the other sections once it stops raining... it's coming down hard and I can't find a quiet spot.

I re-uploaded sections 10, 11, 16, 17 with the fixes.
I wasn't sure if this is what's intended, but for those sections (11 and 17) that are part 2 of their respective chapters, for the introduction I re-read the chapter number and title, and added "part 2". If not I can change it again.

I have been enjoying reading this book and I would be happy to pick up 12 and 15. I have had trouble lately finding a quiet time and place to finish section 18, but I think I can manage that and these two more sections over the next month.

Question for Colleen: I have improved my Audacity game a bit recently. With sections 10, 11, 16, 17 that I recorded earlier, I wasn't using the de-clicker before, nor the compressor. Is it okay with you if I apply those filters to my already-PLed sections and re-upload?
