Thank you for your interest in this project.
We do, however, request that our new readers first complete a one-minute test recording to check out all of your technical specifications and any reading issues.

New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!

Among the useful information there you will find instructions for completing your test recording. Once you have the "OK" on that, post again here and you are free to record for this project. Let us know how you would like to be credited in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname.

Aric,

Chapter 18 - The Rats Plan To Kill Billy Mink - PL OK.
The silence at the end of this chapter is a bit long: about 6.8 seconds. Folks usually aim for 5 seconds, particularly in a book with chapters as short as Billy Mink.
My inexact knowledge of US East Coast accents says the old gray rat is from somewhere north of Boston - New Hampshire, maybe? In any event, yay, it's fun to give characters in a book a bit of personality.
I see you're signed up for the next chapter as well - I'm looking forward to it.

Hey, I live in southern New Hampshire and I've never seen any rats.
We do have regular visitors to our yard -- chipmunks and squirrels, lots of turkeys, frequently deer, maybe an opusum or two, and now and a gain a black bear will wander through. But, then, we live in the woods.

We have resident turkeys as well - they think they own the place.
