Hi Katharina! Acting on Kevin's behalf, I have signed you up for Section 5!

Hi Andrew! Acting on Kevin's behalf, I have signed you up for Section 8! Since you are a new reader, it is strongly recommended to check your recording setup with the 1-minute test, as described here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test
Please ask if there are any questions. Welcome to Librivox! :D

Hi Andrew! Just one PL note about the volume, which is a bit softer than desired. Would you be able to amplify by about 7dB? There are some spikes in the waveform that wouldn't allow for this amplification, so you might need to compress first. If you're using Audacity, here's a video that explains how http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fKYYj6HMZU

I have found this page to be helpful for pretty quick editing.

There is also a custom checker tool that will make sure you are at the right volume and a few other things. Neither of these is perfect and I still listen through my final cut at least once, but they help catch simple mistakes.
