 this was shocking !!!! It reminded me totally of Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum, without the happy end, sadly. :( I felt the claustrophobia which would have overwhelmed me in that tower while listening to you. This was a powerful story, and you narrated it very well.

Need to calm down my nerves now. :?

I did not really understand why the last window would be closer to the prisoner in the end. I thought the roof was coming down, but now it seems the floor was going up, otherwise this would not be possible. :hmm:

I only have one small correction to add:

> at 0:40-0:44: the title is repeated twice, you can cut out one of the versions. Once is enough ;)

thank you Greg !

Thank you for the quick proofing! I'll fix the repeat tonight and repost.

actually I found a wiki article on it, and apparently Poe got the idea for his P&P from the Iron Shroud. Must have been famous in the day: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Iron_Shroud

Quite interesting. Charlotte Brontë also mentioned it in Jane Eyre.

That is cool. It was obvious that this story was not a quickly written fluff piece. It was well-paced and dramatic.

Hi Kitty -

Just want to confirm that The Sea Cave is actually (after all those long recordings) a 14 line poem that I am doing. The next page is blank in the link referenced on page 1 of this forum - so it seems this is a pretty short recording :)

Am I correct? Or is my computer not showing me the next page???

If it is just a poem - here it is - https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/rover0110_7_various_128kb.mp3 - 2:01

no it's correct, there are poems interspersed between the longer stories. So this time you've had a shorter stint  And the Sea Cave is a lovely poem and nicely narrated by you. Flawless too, so PL ok right away. Thank you !!!

Have you seen my PL notes for Merry Terry though ? :hmm:

Announcement: as I haven't heard back from the reader, Section 6 is opened up for grabs again. It's the final section, so there's hope we can wrap this up soon. :9:

Hi Sonia -

I am set up for recording now so I will do Section 6. Yes I saw Merry's PL feedback - I just wanted to get this other one done as I thought it was LONGER.... my mistake! I will do both the feedback and recording of this one at the same time.
