The volume is 82dB which is too low. We aim for between 86-92 dB but ideally we would like it to be at 89 dB.
In Audacity you will also find the option to amplify under 'effects'.

If you like you can use the checker tool to verify volume and other settings.

Dear kgsaturn,

Thank you! But since the PL notes were left here on August 3rd and you had not returned, I orphaned your section on October 4th, that is, two months after that. Ingridluo has claimed the section. As she has not delivered the file, hoping she has not recorded it yet, and if the new file is OKed by the PLer, we can use the new file. But please observe that all readers have a two-month period to deliver files, otherwise projects would take a very long time to be completed (more than they do, anyway).

Best,
Leni

Ingrid has replied saying she had not started the recording. So I am updating the window now.

Hi! I noticed that Section 7 has been claimed for more than 2 months and hasn't been completed yet. I was wondering if I could sign up for that section?

Thank you!

PL Notes for section 7

At the end of the file please can you add

End of section 7

25:48 stumble over laxative

Please could you go through the file as there is a lot of background noise that sounds like cars in the background or a lawnmower.

To do this in Audacity.

Step 1 - Select a piece of background noise
Select a piece of background noise (no speech, breaths or other noises) in your audio.
In Menu click: Effect > Noise Reduction... A dialog will pop up.
Click "Get Noise Profile" The dialog box will close instantly.

Step 2 - Noise Reduction
Press CTRL-A / Command-A to select your complete recording.
In Menu click: Effect > Noise Reduction... again. Note: don't select "Repeat Noise Reduction" -- that instantly applies the default settings; you want to adjust the settings and preview the results before you apply the noise filters.
Set Noise Reduction (dB) to 12
Set sensitivity to 6.00
Set frequency smoothing bands to 3
Choose Noise: Reduce
Click ok

Please could you carry out the edits then upload the file using the same file name and post in this thread. If you need any more help please just ask. Thanks
Michele
