PL note:

It is perfectly PL OK. Many thanks for your contribution!

I only hope that you may have time to read more for this project while the last few sections are still open.

Regards,
Jessie

Please let me know what needs fixing.

Unless someone else has expressed an interest in doing them, or you have reason to think they will, I would like to volunteer for Sections 14 and 15.

Thank you, Niall! Since I had one of the PL notes, I spot checked this, and it's PL OK.

I would like to claim Sections 17, 18, & 19. As you know, I have other sections in preparation too, but I'm pretty sure I can complete them all by early September. I share your commitment to the CMH project!

I am reading section 72. There is a portion of the printed text missing between pages 707 and 708 of the book that I downloaded using the link you provided. The visible text appears like this:

"In February Gebhard married his"

(page break)

"leman;"

Please advise how I should proceed.

Hi. I think I can help. His 'leman' - a rare and archaic word - was his lover, his mistress. Marrying ones mistress would be likely to cause no end of trouble for a Catholic Archbishop, which it clearly did. Nothing missing, just another twist in this tortuous tale!

Thanks for the helpful response, Tom! Yes, I concur. I double-checked another scan of the book to be sure, and the text is the same.
