Please note that the file name should be thetaleofgrandfathermole_13_bailey_128kb.mp3 where ## is the section number. (e.g. thetaleofgrandfathermole_01_bailey_128kb.mp3). This is shown in the first post. I would appreciate if you could export this file again with that format and upload again. Thanks.KinoOnik wrote: ↑May 1st, 2021, 6:10 pm Here is Ch 13 Turning Over a New Leaf

Three more chapters have been added to the roster of PL OK readings.
mleigh did her normal good reading of Chapters 2 and 9.
RomaSingh added a clear reading of Chapter 5.
Well done, both of you.

Welcome to LV!
Chapter 10 was definitely worth a PL OK rating.

And a welcome to LibriVox, KinoOnik.
Some thoughts on Chapters 13 and 14:
Good use of voices and characters.
Chapter 13 had nothing that needed attention and has been deemed PL OK.
Chapter 14:
The silence at the beginning of the recording is a bit long. Lop off a second and it will be just fine.
TIME: 02:43 TEXT: "I'd be glad to let you come under the sunshade now, beside me," Reading sounds like "sunshine" instead of "sunshade".
Otherwise, it is PL OK as well.

Hi Phil. As you know, I resubmitted my recording of chapter 13 in the Tale of Grandfather Mole. You indicated the submission form was correct. The Magic Window indicates, "See PL Notes". Is that a throwback from the submission we discussed? Or is it something additional?
Oops! Just realized, I need to look for an additional post for additional PL notes.
Further, if I wished to PM you, do I address to "philchevernet" or "Philc"?

Hello lomond.
Thank you for the valuable feed back on 13 and 14. I will make the appropriate edits you suggested.
I was concerned about the voices. In your opinion, would you encourage me to continue with the "voices"? I'm mindful they may be acceptable with talking animals as in a "cartoon" but out of place if recording George Orwell.
Although they might work in Animal Farm. Ha!
Again, thank you for your feedback.

You may address me a Phil or "Hot Lips" though I prefer Phil. I don't know about the notes, the easiest way is what you suggested.KinoOnik wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2021, 12:14 pm Hi Phil. Hello Phil. Funny that you mentioned "Hot Lips".
In one of your older "How To" videos, your mic picked up the the theme music "Suicide is Painless" for the long running sitcom and outstanding film M*A*S*H.
By the way, I am very reliant on your "How To" videos. They are excellent!

KinoOnik. You are catching on fast, keep up the good work. About responding to posts, it is better if, when responding to someone's post, that you 'quote' them by clicking on the quotation marks to the top right. This puts their words inside of a box in your post that makes it easier to keep track of who is saying what. You add your comments then and everything is easy to follow.
