Yes, we do put edit notes on the thread so that the Book Coordinator (BC) can see that the project is moving along and can also see if the corrections have been made. LibriVox has a policy that corrections should be made in a timely manner (generally two weeks).
A Dedicated Proof-Listener (DPL) is a volunteer who has decided to give their time to us. I appreciate all of our proof listeners. Becky and April have been doing a great job.
Standard listening says to check for repeats, long pauses, the intro and outro, and that it is not necessary to follow along in the text.
Finding errors isn't even mentioned for some reason??

I have PLed for years and have always followed along with the text and can't understand why someone wouldn't do that. I let the reader know where their errors are. Reader comments have generally positive for the most part.
As far as Capital letters and bolding in PL notes go that might be a bit much and one or the other might be enough.
This is not the place to carry on a long conversation about individual PL style.
However, saying showered for showed is an error that a listener would pick up on and should be corrected in my view.
Copying the whole text made by Becky two times seems to do more to make a reader feel singled out and offended as well as making the DPL feel the same way.
Once again, I am very happy with Becky and April's volunteer work for readers and listeners. Thanks for your comments Marcineus.
