Since English is not my native language, I know that my accent is not one of the best ones. Therefore, I would be very happy if I get detailed feedback.

Thank you for your reading! I am impressed--I can't speak or read so clearly and smoothly in either of my non-native languages, both of which are rather more phonetically consistent than English is. And this isn't the easiest book to read... Most of the time I could follow along readily. There were some places where I had to back up or consult the text to be sure of what you were saying, and I have made notes of these and added links to the Cambridge Dictionary's pronunciation of the words (because I am very bad at describing how to pronounce words).
At 0:35, "who always *regulated* her own time.." I didn't understand "regulated." Here's the Cambridge pronunciation link: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/pronunciation/english/regulated
2:06 "and the rooks lived safe..." I heard "rocks," which confused me. "Rooks" rhymes with "books" and "looks." https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/rook
2:26 "Here the *mower* never whet his scythe..." I heard "mewer." https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/mower
2:33 "the hoarse croaking of the *rooks*"--see note above
3:12 ""as if *unable* to penetrate the thick stagnated air" https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/unable
4:25 "he *determined* to relieve him" https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/determined
4:59 "and forgot to act *humanely*"-- I heard "humanly," which is also a word, but a different one. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/humanely
5:16 "though *formed* to shine" I heard "for"--I think the sound cut out for the end of the word.
5:40 "This friend *loved* the latent..." I heard "laughed the latent" https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/love?q=loved
11:15 "and animated her *incessant* rant" https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/pronunciation/english/incessant
11:35 "a sense of *woe*" --I heard "woo," which is a different word. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/woe
12:01 "and the *garden* run wild (I heard "garland," which is a different word) https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/garden
12:12 "she wished to encounter"--the word "to" is missing in the recording
12:42 "the estate was *litigated*" https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/litigate?q=litigated
There were also a few places where the volume jumped and produced a bit of a squeal. You can use the Amplify feature in Audacity to reduce the volume of a selected portion. (I still have to do a lot of that when I read for LibriVox--I am still fairly new.) Here are the places where I noticed this:
0:54-55
2:04 "Near it"
3:28 "I brought you"
12:14 "Every day"
Also, please increase the ending silence from 2.5 seconds to 5 seconds. I think this is important because some apps cut off the endings of audio files so if there isn't a sufficient cushion of silence some of the text gets lost.
Please make these changes and then re-upload the file with the same name and make a note here so I can proof-listen again.
Thank you again for your reading, and for your openness to feedback. It's good to have you here with us, and I hope my long list of minor corrections won't be too discouraging.
Joanna

Hi Joanna,
It is really okay that you have pointed out all my errors; I am so happy to see that someone worked this hard to improve MY English. I am going to work on the things that you listed and will hopefully re-upload a better version by tomorrow.
best,
Ejaz

Hi Ejaz S,
Thank you! This new recording is PL OK--I was able to clearly understand everything. Besides the pronunciation and volume fixes, I noticed that there was much less background noise and the whole recording was clearer. Thank you!
One note for the future: Usually after receiving PL corrections it's best to just fix the spots that were noted rather than re-recording the whole chapter--this saves time for the proof-listener. But I do appreciate your careful fixes, and am glad for whatever you've figured out about keeping the recording clear. (I am still working on proper noise reduction in my own reading.) Thanks again.

Hi Joanna,
It was such a delight to 'pass' my very first recording; thank you for that. Besides, I will keep your suggestion (about not re-recording the whole chapter) in mind; I just thought that I must re-record the entire chapter this one time as the errors were many. Chapter 11 will be submitted next week.
have a nice weekend,
Ejaz S

Yes, probably a new recording in this instance was a good decision.EJAZSIDDIQUI wrote: ↑March 13th, 2021, 1:02 pm Hi Joanna,

Thank you for your reading! This is clearly and beautifully read. There are just four small corrections:StevenJonPeterson wrote: ↑March 19th, 2021, 6:50 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/originalstories_24_wollstonecraft_128kb.mp3
Here’s chapter 24. 5:36
Steve
At 0:27, for "Idleness the parent of vice" I heard "Idleness of the parent of vice"
At 4:09 for "Economy and self-denial are necessary in every station" I heard "necessary every station"
At 5:22 for "a childish fondness" I heard "a childness fondness"
Also, please expand the ending silence to 5 seconds. I think this is done because some listening apps clip off the end of audio files and the cushion is left so the spoken text doesn't get truncated.
Please make these edits, reupload the file with the same name, and post here so I know it's ready for spot proof-listening. Thank you again!

Hi,
I know that I promised to upload the recording of chapter 11 this weekend; however, as you may also know, this weekend we celebrate the Persian new year (year:1400). I will make sure to submit the recording within one week.
Happy Persian new year and century for those who celebrate it...
