and the last section really was a treat. Please don't be shocked by the long list of PL notes, I know it looks like a lot but it's not difficult to correct and basically is often the same error.
You may be pleased to hear that I enjoyed the narration extremely. You sounded like an enthusiastic war reporter and you'll drag the listeners into the thick of the action with your engaging narration. This section definitely was not a boring piece of history.
Now to the PL notes, it's often only cuts (long pauses, page references, repetitions), so not very difficult. Only a few spots where you missed a word actually.
No need to re-record ! Please only Spot correct, it will save us both a lot of time and your narration was so great, it would be a pity to redo it all.
I would strongly recommend to
start cutting from the final PL note and working your way up to the first. That way all the time stamps stay the same for you.
Technical settings:
> overall
volume only 82.2 dB. Please
amplify by about 7 dB to get to a good average of 89
> the
bitrate should be
128kbps constant, yours is 192. Did you update your Audacity program recently ? Then it can happen that it reverted to the default settings. I remember last time your settings were correct
Textual corrections:
>
at 0:33: could you please read the title like I noted in the MW: "Section 60:
Part 4. The Thirty Years' War"
>
at 1:20: (p. 308): please always include the dates in this project, since it's about historical events, here: "
1618-1623" after the subtitle 1
>
at 1:30: (p. 308) you forgot to say "
end of footnote" (mentioned in the special rules for this project in the second post)
>
from 1:30-1:32: (p. 308)
repeat of "closing of a Utraquist church" which you can cut, as you said it already before the footnote
>
at 8:40: (p. 310) I don't want the page references included, so please
cut "page 306" here at this spot, after "ecclesiastical reservation" (also mentioned in the special rules)
>
at 13:15: (p. 311) again, please insert "
end of footnote" here
>
at 15:51: (p. 312)
repeat of "Wallenstein turned upon Saxony, now defenseless" - you can cut out one version
>
at 16:52: (p. 312) "
end of footnote" missing
>
at 17:33: (p. 313) missed date "
1633" before "expedition of Bernhard of Saxe-Weimar"
>
from 21:28-21:30: (p. 314) between "at Nördlingen" and "Peace of Prague" - nearly 3 seconds of
silence is a bit long, I would cut down to under 2 seconds
>
at 21:34: (p. 314) "May
30th" - I think I hear "13th" but I am not entirely sure, you might check again
>
at 21:58: (p. 314) page reference "page 305" can be cut after "convention of Passau"
>
from 22:41-22:45: (p. 314) between "accepted the peace" and "4. Swedish-French Period" - again, the
pause is too long, please stay under 2 seconds
>
at 22:59: (p. 314) "Richelieu,
died 1642" - this cross symbol should be read as "died" to avoid historical confusion with other dates
>
at 24:46: (p. 314) "
September 1643" - you forgot to say "September"
>
from 25:44-25:48: (p. 315)
repeat "they forced the Bavarians under Mercy to retreat" - can be cut here, is repeated after the date where it fits better
>
at 27:06: (p. 315) page reference
cut "p. 352" after "Brömsebro"
>
at 29:12: (p. 316) you forgot "
A. Indemnifications" after "conditions of the peace"
>
at 31:14: (p. 316) "
died 1680" - please insert "died" here as well
>
at 31:16: (p. 316) "
5. Mecklenburg" - you say "6"
>
at 31:37: (p. 316) "1. General amnesty" - you forgot to mention
"1"
>
at 32:37: (p. 316) page reference
"page 247" can be cut after "of the empire"
>
from 32:38-32:41: between "of the empire" and "C. Ecclesiastical affairs" - please
shorten the pause again here
>
at 32:51: (p. 317) page reference
cut "page 305"
>
at 33:27: (p. 317) page reference
cut "page 306"
