(0:24-0:29) Delete "The Cambridge... by various"
(32:20) It should be "End of section 60" instead of "End of chapter..."
Also, there should be no _mp3 at the end of the filename, just the extension .mp3
Thanks!

I have finally uploaded section 70 and 71.
I had some trouble with amplifying down 70, and 71 has a little buzz in short parts that I want to know how to get rid of.

35:09 long

35:19 long.
Hopeforce1.

Section 70 PL notes:Hopeforce1 wrote: ↑May 12th, 2021, 11:53 am I have finally uploaded section 70 and 71.
I had some trouble with amplifying down 70, and 71 has a little buzz in short parts that I want to know how to get rid of.
(6:24) p. 671 I hear "intention of consolation" instead of "conciliation"
(7:10) p. 671 I hear "to the Council" instead of "of the Council", a bit confusing.
(15:41) end of p. 673, omitted: "too many of the rights of the Bishops"
(16:05) p. 674 Let's not pronounce "Morone" as "moron", please. It's an Italian name with three syllables: mo-RO-ne.
(19:46) p. 675 stumble/repeat: "continuation"
(19:50) stumble/repeat: "at Trent"
(20:05) stumble: "pronouncement"
(23:11) p. 676, I hear "Mantus" instead of "Mantua"
(23:48) two stumbles on "d'Altemps"
(24:58) stumble/repeat: "as that granted"
(26:12) extraneous word: "the bad? Spanish Bishops"
(27:18) p. 677 misplaced words: "won over by the Powers by the Curia"
(27:20) extraneous word: "the big? Spanish Bishops"
(27:35) stumble/repeat: "no harmony"
(27:39) extraneous words: "action from the Curia"
(28:56) stumble: "were/was"
(29:32) repeat: "were not agreed... Simonetta"
(29:47-30:00) misplaced words and repeat: "on April 20, Cardinal of Mantua...."
(30:58) p. 678, I hear "letters which" instead of "letters were"
(31:42) stumble on "session"
(31:52) stumble: "of on the Eucharist"
(32:03) stumble on "against"
(32:13) stumble on "deferred"
(32:37) extraneous syllable: "with regard to uh the obligation"
(32:58) stumbles on "run" and "the opinion"
(33:09) misplaced words: "the Papacy the question three Bulls"
(33:51) p. 679 stumble on "agent"
(34:33) some extraneous sound snuck into "the Spanish Bishops" again
(34:55) stumble on "excessive"
Usually most such issues would be edited out before a recording gets PLed. If you think section 71 would benefit from additional clean-up, I'd be happy to give you more time to do it. Please confirm when 71 is ready for PL, whether now or later.
Section 70 needs to be de-amplified by 6 dB. I'm not sure if the difficulty you mentioned was in determining what the volume was, or in changing it. If you use Audacity, you would change the volume by selecting the entire track (ctrl-A or click anywhere on the left pane), and then using the Amplify effect with -6 in the Amplification box.
If you'd like to know how to measure volume, please take a look at these wiki pages:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker
The first is an Audacity effect, which you have to install first. The second is a standalone program that checks all the LV specs in an mp3 file, including volume.
To remove buzz, you would select a small segment of the soundwave which includes the buzz, but not your voice or breathing, and get a noise profile from that. I'm assuming you know how to do noise reduction, but let me know if you have questions.
Thanks,
Michael

Thanks - now PL OK! For the future, please be sure to check the MC listed next to the uploader link (here it's Leni, not me) and we ask readers to include the duration with every upload. I took care of both these issues here.laurakumanova wrote: ↑May 19th, 2021, 5:59 pm Thanks! Those edits were easy turned it around pretty quickly.
