Here's the link to Section 4. It's 10m 56secs...

This was an interesting new thought for me!
The Day of Pentecost in the New Testament corresponds to the Confusion of Tongues in the Old. Then, not till then, did men hear, each in their tongue wherein they were born, the Glad Tidings of One, very God and very Man...

Section 6 PL notes:
~6:40 missing text, "...famous for the Shephelah (the low country) with its waving corn-fields, and the vale of Sharon (level country), the garden of Palestine." (Sorry, I just happened to be following along with the text. 8-) )
~16:05 slight stumble, "patriarchal"

So did this passage give any clarity to what you didn't understand? :?: Some things, I suppose, will always remain a mystery.

May I do section 37 "Othniel and Ehud, Deborah and Barak"? I know I'm new, and I just submitted my 1-minute test this afternoon, but if I get the all-clear on that, I'd love to start recording something. :-)

Section 12 PL notes:
*Please DO read the Scripture references in parentheses.
~5:16 stumble, "Abimelech"
*Outro should also include Book #.
**Just a note since you're opening the file anyway... Your volume is OK at 86.6 dB, but it wouldn't hurt to raise it a bit.

Otherwise, it's looking and sounding great! :)

Thanks,

Thank you for your interest in this project.
We do, however, request that our new readers first complete a one-minute test recording to check out all of your technical specifications and any reading issues.

From the instructions for this, and all, projects under Point 2

New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!

Among the useful information there you will find instructions for completing your test recording. Once you have the "OK" on that post again here with your request and also let us know how you would like to be credited in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname.

I see you have some corrections to make on your test recording, so do take care of that so you have the technical specifications all set. I'll put you in for this section, but let us know how you would like to be credited in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname.

How fitting! :) I like the way the book was written, bringing out so many little nuggets of truth here and there.

Both these sections are PL OK

Hi, and thanks for the corrections. Joyfully  on looking through my files this morning - apparently after updating some software - all of my Librivox backups have disappeared. I'm in the process of trying to restore some of the more recent ones. What I will do for this is download what was uploaded and work from that file; the quality may not be sterling, but will get the job done. Don't anticipate an immediate turn-around on the revision. :(

Sorry for omitting the citations; took the "never mind the footnotes" as "ignore parentheticals."

Sorry about your hardships!! Don't worry about me on time frame. I'm just now PLing your other file as well...

ETA: And here are the notes for Section 23:
~0:32-37 These references are (I believe) all chapters, as verses are usually written in numbers and chapters in Roman numerals
~11:17 (outro) should be "Book 4, Chapter 4" rather than vise versa
*And... those references in parenthesis... (Sorry!)

Thanks,
