COMPLETE A Child's Garden Of Verses (version 3) By R. L. Stevenson-mtf
Here is Section Three, running 1:04. I tried to keep the silences a little shorter this time. I did notice that I was spiking up to 1.0 a few times on the exciting bits, but it didn't seem to actually be that loud, so I'm not sure.

The recording looks good. Just one thing, at 20:00, you say "A Pirate Story", the title is "Pirate Story", without the a. Could you send another recording with the "a" removed? Thanks.etraytin wrote: ↑January 15th, 2021, 11:27 am Here is Section Three, running 1:04. I tried to keep the silences a little shorter this time. Sorry about that! I went in and clipped out the "a" and reuploaded. I think it sounds okay, but if it doesn't sound good, I can redo the poem entirely. I'm still learning how to use Audacity.

Could I take on Section 13, The Moon?
“It’s still magic even if you know how it’s done.” A Hat Full of Sky, Terry Pratchett.
All yours, thank you.
Here is Section Four, 1:06
I played a little with noise reduction this time to try and get rid of some breath sounds. Please let me know if anything sounds messed up!

All yours! I have to agree, I've always enjoyed reading his poetry
The recording falls out of the target range, at 92.2 dB. I suggest you decrease it by about 1dB. You can do this by going to Effect<Amplify. We aim for 0.5-1 seconds of silence at the beginning, you have less. You could generate silence, but I prefer actually recording the silence, then trimming if necessary. One last thing, at the end, could you add one more second of silence? We aim for five, you have four. Thank you for the efficiency, greatly appreciated .etraytin wrote: ↑January 15th, 2021, 6:49 pm Here is Section Four, 1:06

I went ahead and rerecorded Section 4, I hope that will fix the problems! Sorry it took all day, it's a lot harder to find quiet times free of child yelling in the background on weekends. This segment runs 1:08.

The beginning has over 1 second of silence at the beginning. Could you reduce it to be in the range of 0.5-1 seconds of silence?etraytin wrote: ↑January 16th, 2021, 9:31 pm I went ahead and rerecorded Section 4, I hope that will fix the problems! I have the same issue here with my brother, he's always making noise.
At 39 seconds you say, "When the sunshine", when the text says "Where in sunshine". Another thing, could you noise reduce the silence at the end? I feel like there is a little background noise. Thanks.alanmapstone wrote: ↑January 17th, 2021, 10:02 am Section 30 - Travel

MW now lists this as section 28 and is out of sequence with the source text. Can you confirm section number please?RomaSingh wrote: ↑January 17th, 2021, 12:58 pmAt 39 seconds you say, "When the sunshine", when the text says "Where in sunshine".
