In Part 1 of this book the TOC has the correct chapter numbering but the text itself has two chapter 3's so the chapter numbers in the text starting with chapter 4 are incorrect. Please confirm and if I'm correct decide how to inform the readers.
Dave
I would appreciate some clarification on how to handle other errors in the text. In particular I am finding quite a few figure labelling errors, where either the figure label is attached to the wrong figure (appears to be another off-by-one error), or some are merely incorrect.

Example: pg 157, figure 53 is a "Curve of sines", not a "Curve of Lines"
Ex: pp 159-160, the label for figure 56 clearly should be for figure 57 which is unlabeled

I know we are not to be proofreaders of the text, but mislabeling the figures could be very confusing to the listener.

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Hi Kurt,

There is no need to read the figure labels on graphs and illustrations. Tables, you need to read, unless there is no way to read them.
If the text you are reading uses a different table number than the table label, please use the number referenced on the text itself.

Thanks,
Sienna

Volume is a bit high (93.0dB) and should be lowered by about 3-4dB. Otherwise, pl ok. Nice read.

There are many words from different languages in part 1 and 2. So, I started making a spreadsheet with pronunciation notes for any word that might be difficult. I'll post it here in case it's useful for anyone else. But also, you may make comments directly on the sheet if you know the pronunciation.

Also, I am open to general comments if any senior Librivox members want to chime in. Making a spreadsheet seemed like a good idea, I wasn't sure if there was a better way about it.

thanks

00:21 The correct chapter number is 7 not 6. See the TOC.
26:08-26:14 delete repeat. "with the..."
26:32 extraneous sound?
Volume is just a tad high (92.6dB) and should be lowered by 3-4dB.
