excellent patches, Dessa  it all sounds very natural even after the corrections. This section is absolutely PL ok now.

Only a small suggestion for future recordings. You left over 2 seconds of silence between the title and the start of the story, this feels a bit long for a listener. I think in your first version is was much less. I would always try to keep silences, even between paragraphs, to under 2 seconds. No need to reupload this time, but it may be a consideration for future recordings. :)

Thanks, and I hope I hear you again soon (here or in another project) 8-)

Have a nice weekend

Sonia,
I am having a difficult time even finding the section I claimed so I can not read it if I can not see it. I have looked through the magazines table of contents, not seeing it. I have also attempted to just go to the page number listed in the mw...where it is not. I did see page number 2 on a magazine page that does not correlate with the the program's page numbers used to read it, so now what? Please do let me know and I will happily record it.
Thanks,
April

the page numbers that are in the MW are the ones that are on the actual scanned pages, not the ones that are in the scroll bar. I think this link should take you straight to it: https://archive.org/details/rover02labrgoog/page/n25/mode/1up Leoni starts at the end of the left column.

I hope this works

hello Allen and a warm welcome to our forum :) happy to have you read in this magazine. Thank you.

I see you freshly passed your test  so you can start right away. I'll open your reader page in a minute, if you'd like to tell me what reader name you want (forum name or real name or...).

Update: here is the link to your personal page: https://librivox.org/reader/15175
all your projects will be listed there, and it may become a nice catalogue with time 8-) I can still change the Reader Name once you tell me you prefer something else.

As you are new to the forum and this is your first assigment, please always read carefully through the first post, there are all the details on how to say the intro/outro correctly, as well as the title and how to name the finished file.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

And now have fun recording :D

Oh just a small note: don't insert images in your post unless necessary. We try to keep images to a minimum on the forum.

Hello Abhigna and a warm welcome to our forum :)

Thank you for your interest in this project, and of course I can reserve you section 1 for the time being.

However, before you start recording, we would strongly advice to complete a one-minute-test first. This is to check that your technical settings are all up to LV standard.
You can read all about it here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test
Please post the test in the Listeners Wanted forum: viewforum.php?f=21 and someone will check it and give you feedback or advice if needed.

As soon as the test is ok'ed, please post the results back here, and then I can assign you the sections officially. For that I would need to open a personal reader page for you, so please also tell me which reader name you want to go by. Can be the same as the forum name or your real name, or whatever.

For the moment, I will reserve the section for you for one month, to give you time to sort out the test. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. :)

Good luck with the test !

it can rarely be too exuberant for me, you know my love for drama  And this was a wonderful swashbuckling tale, mixed with a dash of Romeo and Juliet and Robin Hood. Excellently narrated, April, I was really hooked by the story. So sad was the ending too...I would have hoped for a happy end. But legends seldom have one.

Totally PL ok, thank you so much. This will prove a lovely collection of stories. :9:

I saw your test over in the test forum and I gave you feedback there: viewtopic.php?p=1803918#p1803918
A few technical things to tweak and then you're all set.

Please repost your new test in the other thread, so we keep all in the same thread. :)

Thanks
