Done? Maybe not. You could claim another section, and I may also claim a few more and then I will need your PL services again.Kalamareader wrote: ↑December 6th, 2020, 3:16 pmIt will be Tuesday, but I promise I will get to it.

It's probably for the best that Mr. Carnegie missed the Jazz Age.

In section 17, the author used a series of !'s to emphasize a sentence. I read them in the recording at about 27:56. Let me know if you would like them removed.
Thanks,
M

Over to you again, Wayne.
Great reading, as always.

1:15 Authors name is Bryce, heard By-ee
7:39 Pronunciation should be Guess-ler. (I am sure that is a typo referring to Albrecht Gessler)
8:02 Check here for pronunciation of Trevelyan https://www.pronouncekiwi.com/Trevelyan
13:14 Froude is pronounced Frood
17:13 At the end of this quotation you say "unquote" however at the beginning you don't say "quote".
21:09 You say prejudicial, should be prejudiced. Your call.

Frood like food. James Anthony Froude (/fruːd/ FROOD;) 23 April 1818 – 20 October 1894 was an English historian, novelist, biographer, and editor of Fraser's Magazine.

Section 30 is uploaded with corrections, with the exception of the missing quote/end quote. I found neither.
TIP: Sometimes when the text says something like "Pericles said . . . . .//////////////////////////////", I let the Pericles said substitute for the "quote", but put the "end quote" at the end to separate it from the author's comments. It varies with the circumstances, for the listener's better understanding.

Welcome to the project. I see you are claiming many sections in several projects -- probably too many to start out with. Since 12 and 13 are two parts to one chapter, how about I assign you 14, and let's see how that goes. As it is a rather long chapter, (over 5000 words will be around 35 minutes at completion), it will likely take you several hours to record, edit and proof listen your file before submitting it here for a final Proofing. I appreciate your enthusiasm, and look forward to listening. Be sure to read the first post thoroughly. It will tell you exactly how to name your file, where to upload, and what to say at the Intro and Outro.
