Hi Adam, welcome to LV and to this project. I see that you got an [ok] on your test, so you're ready to go.
All you need to know about this project is in the first post, ask if you have questions.
weezer wrote: October 23rd, 2020, 11:40 am I would like to claim the rest of the book: section-14,22,33,44
4 sections 4 you (except for the last one since Adam beat you to it), thanks for filling us up! :D
I have listened to parts of your recordings because you mentioned problems with your voice, I didn't notice anything seriously disturbing, so you're fine.
Just a more personal note: I like your expressiveness in the recordings, well done! But I feel it would be better if you slowed down a bit for your readings. This is non-fiction, so it may take the listener a bit more time to take in the message. Also, Foote is very careful in choosing his words, if you read slower, you give the reader the chance to savour the words - remember that the listener doesn't have the text in front of him/her, so it depends on you to guide the reader through the text with your voice.
Cheers, Ava.

It is with an abundance of appreciation mixed with a tad of trepidation that I submit this attempt at applying your French instruction on Section 01:

Duration of 12mm 38ss.

Monsieur Tommy

Parfait Tommy! Je suis très contente!

10m10s

I've chosen Nicole Gee as my catalog name. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello Nicole, welcome on board!
Very lovely reading, I enjoyed it!
Ava already noted the file name, it should go "flowersfreethought2_50_foote_128kb.mp3".

I have two pl notes,
>00:28, the note at the beginning "*July 1889" should be read, right after the title of the section. Please record it, and add it here.
>The volume of your file falls outside the range of 87-91, it is too quiet at 82.2 dB. Please amplify it in Audacity. When it comes to volume, you can always use the Checker (more info on the Wiki: wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker ). When the status is "Passed with Warnings" it usually has to do with the volume.

Since you will edit that, correct the filename as well, so it's good to go.
Send it in, as soon as you're ready! :) If you need any help, let us know!

Cheers,
Ana

7min 55 seconds

I know some edits will be needed but hopefully it's not too poorly done. :)

Thank you for this amazing articulation Lynette! It's very nicely done, PL ok!
Just a tiny piece of advice for future recordings, there are slight volume changes at a few spots in the recording, you could "play" with the amplify in Audacity to smooth the transitions :) Note that this does not interfere with the quality of this recording
