Merrimeg by William Bowen (1877 - 1937).

This is a charming fairy story by renowned author William Bowen. Merrimeg is a kind, helpful and obedient little girl. But after finishing her chores, as she goes outside to play, imps intervene and sweep her up the chimney. What is to become of her? And so her adventures begin.( )
    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/59819
    5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Ch 2 notes

~0:16 a slight stumble... "my...by" please cut out the 'my'
~0:24 stumble "stay at home"
~1:01 stumble "she heard a... a sound in the street"
~1:23 stumble "walking a...along in the usual way"
~1:38 stumble "a sight such as... as that before"
~2:30 added word "she could not see nobody"
~3:15 stumble "but what it was"
~3:50 stumble "“Why, it’s the two gno...gnomes!” said cried Merrimeg. "
~5:00 stumble "without being...being without a body"
~5:48 repeat "followed... followed them"
~6:34 stumble "Blest, blest if I haven’t for...forgotten the w...word myself"
~8:20 the volume dropped considerably.
~9:15 stumble "so...so low"
~9:55 stumble "said.. said Merrimeg"
~12:24 stumble "ow..owls"
~13:03 repeat "kicked out...kicked out"
~13:20 stumble "sang out... sang out all"
~14:16 stumble "keep her...keep from falling"
~15:25 stumble "thank you...thank her"

This looks like a long list, but they are all easy fixes.
Where there is a stumble or repeat, just use your scissor tool in Audacity to cut the bad bit out. No need to re-record anything
For the volume, select the section from 8:20 to the end and amplify by about 2dB (or if you can make it match the earlier section, that would be better.
Here is a video on basic editing techniques:

Please re-upload the corrected file with the same file name.
