Indeed, it does ask me to save before closing. But I (almost) never save any of my files in aup. Instead, I export them in both flac and mp3. So it always asks me that, and it's become second nature to quickly click the "No."

ah ok, well that was unfortunate. I always save in Audacity first and only delete those files when the project is catalogued. So YES would be my default answer

Two very interesting sections. You sounded really accurate as dying Washington  Well done in character. ;) Loved both sections, highly informative, especially the Red Cross.

Both PL ok, thank you !

thank you, storygirl, and wow, what ONE vote can do ! Quite a very timely section for the elections in the US this week ;)

The text itself is flawless, you only forgot to add the end disclaimer after 1:35: "End of Section 53. This recording is in the public domain." Could you add that one please ?

Thanks

Sonia

Here's my last outstanding section
https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory_volume13_091_tappan_128kb.mp3 duration 15:30
For the curious: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_lacrosse

This was interesting but rather hard to read due to long, complex sentences...

ah interesting, so Lacrosse comes from an Indian ballgame. I didn't know that. A very cool description, and don't worry, the text was extremely well read and understandable for a listener. Perfectly PL ok, Piotr, thanks !

Hi Sonia! Will be doing my sections soon, but if a small extension could be given in the meantime, it'd be appreciated. :)

 ok I see your devious plan here

it's all in now. On a personal note: 3 seconds of silence between the end of the chapter and the final disclaimer seem a bit long to me. But I guess since there are no other errors, we can let it pass this time ;) I would suggest keeping the silence under 2 seconds though, because it does sound dragged out otherwise

PL ok

Thanks !! And hopefully you'll stay faithful for the next instalment...it will be a totally different style, so I hope many of you will still support that one. :help:

thanks for letting me know in the nick of time, Tomas ;) I hope one more month will be enough to finish (so till 4th December). If they are in earllier, so much the better of course. :)

 wow this was a gruesome chapter of war history :( I never knew the story but I can only imagine how the men felt trapped there. Why couldn't they get reinforcements or some kind ? They were besieged for a long time before the actual attack.

Nevertheless, excellently narrated, Devorah  absolutely PL ok, thank you.

Announcement here: as I haven't heard back from the reader and my PM wasn't even picked up (I hope all is well :? ), I will orphan Sections 90 and 92 again for other interested readers to claim.

Alan's section 32 will receive an extension till 4th December however, since he replied to my PM.

Back to Readers Wanted then....

Note the comment about "civilized man". Obviously they did not consider the Native American tribes to be civilised :hmm:
