I'd like to claim #79, please. I think that finishes it up! :)

hello Sebastian, welcome to this project :) Thank you for claiming the last section, this makes us fully claimed again and I'll move us back to Readers Found.

As you are rather new to LV and especially to this project series, please read the first two posts carefully. You'll find lots of information about how to say the long intro disclaimer, how to deal with footnotes, etc and how to correctly name the finished file.

Have fun with your section and if there are any questions still, don't hesitate to ask.

Announcement: Section 87 is also up for grabs again, since the reader didn't reply to my reminder PM.

Back to readers wanted (again)

I haven't listened to it, but wow, that was quick! How did you manage to record a 26 minute long chapter in less than an hour and a half? The last recording I did, a bit more than 40 minutes, took me about 3 and a half hours, all told.

I have a tendency to go too fast. It seems that as I read, especially if it is a long section, I speed up. But I depend on the DPL to tell me when I have sped it up too much. And I do get reminders sometimes to slow it down. If you are not getting a caution from your PL, then you are good.

sorry for the delay, Jim, but the end of last week was quite busy. But I managed now and the section is absolutely PL ok.

Thank you so much, and that means we have only 10 sections left to finish. This is the always the go-ahead for me to launch the next book in the series.

So yes, the infamous Book 14 is up and running now  here is the link: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=83839, for all those who are undaunted by the more challenging sections. I actually think it will be quite interesting.

Hoping to hear many of you in there !

Never in a hurry here. As for Volume 14, I am asking for 16, 24, 29, 43, 53, 70, 79, 86, and 94. Thanks, Jim

Here is Section 79:
https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory_volume13_079_tappan_128kb.mp3
22:20

Quite the narrative in that section. I think it does a great job showing the duality of war: the exciting adventure, and the stark sadness.

Also, if it's not too much of a bother, could the URL in my reader profile please be changed from "https://smlavine.xyz" to "https://smlavine.com"? I changed the domain, and while the "xyz" domain redirects for now, I revoked its certificate and now it shows as a Potential Security Risk on my browser, and probably others. "https://smlavine.com" is the new domain. I promise I won't change it again anytime soon :)
