Apparently no one else knows either! ha. I just watched four videos about increasing volume in GarageBand and they all totally confused me, just talking in circles. It seems very difficult to do which is strange for such a popular recording platform. Of course I use Audacity and with that it is just a simple click to increase or decrease volume. So I am perplexed. This is why most all of us switched to using Audacity, but nevertheless I will move this question to our Need Help forum. Hang in there Pianolil, we will tr to help you, but you need to fix this problem before making any more audio tracks because it will remain a problem.

Of course you could just install Audacity, import your MP3 into it and bump up the volume but let's see if we can fix it at the source.

Audacity works fine on Apple products. And probably others too. Or so I am told. Let's keep talking, we will solve this yet. By the way, no answer yet from posting your problem in our Need Help forum, but one will come I am confident!!

Oh, you are very welcome. If there is one thing we do well here at LibriVox, it is help solve the problems of our buddies who want to record.

Chapter 22 PL notes: See the notes for chapter 21. The noise needs to be reduce by at least 20 dB. Other than that the reading is fine. Please redue the noise, export with the same file name and upload again. Thanks. :D

Here are 21 and 22 again

I think the background noise was probably the air filter kicking on, but thankfully I don't live in that house anymore so it shouldn't be an issue! And the video was very helpful.
If she's passin' back this way
I'm not that hard to find
Tell her she can look me up
If she's got the time

this is take '2' for sound, please let me know., fyi; on my preliminary test, I was only told where to correct the audio volume using replay gain & / or checker, I did not have to re-submit it. Thank you for assisting me with this.
so...,
I ran replay gain, I made an amplified adjustment, not sure if it is correct for sound. I have not yet figured out the checker download, apparently requires a zip application and I seen where it says it requires javalayer.
I have been viewing both your video tutorials to check out the correct process.
