Your original post seems to have been missed, sorry about that. This isn't really the right place for a test recording, though.

I can already tell that your recording is in the wrong format. It should be mp3, not wav. This page will tell you what settings you need for the mp3 file, and how to get them if you're using Audacity. You'll also need to increase your volume. Then when you upload your new test, don't post it in a project thread, but go over to the "Listeners and Editors Wanted" board and post it there as a new topic. :)

Welcome to LibriVox, alxder. I must give you same warning I give a lot of new readers. Simply put, LibriVox can become a strong habit with very little encouragement. :) :)

And, if your future readings are like Chapters 43, 46, and 49, you are going to fit right in with the group. All three were nicely read with a good volume level and a steady pace.

Let's hear more in the near future.

I am always surprised with the number of readers who do such a good job with the different voices in their chapters. peterbrashvoice is one of those readers as shown by his PL OK offerings of Chapters 33 and 34.

Just one little suggestion, pbv. Watch that the silence at the beginning of a reading is close to 0.5 seconds and no more than 1.0 second.

Keep those good voices coming our way.
