7/14/20 section 9 edit
Thank you for making the edits that you have made. One more item though for you to take care of, please.
The background sound is at 35.1 and in the hopes of it being lowered to around 24.2 I do ask you to please do one more round of noise cleaning.

April - you get one kick at the can when PL'ing. There are no 2nd, 3rd tries if what I fixed is correct.

I live in a big city and background noise of 35.1 is just fine. You should be concerned if you hear noises such as fans, tv's, radios, people talking. I use a noise filtering headset. If you are PL'ing and noise is above 50 you should be concerned. You are setting a very low target when you tell readers to get down to 24.2 as that most often will affect their recording significantly. No where in Librivox is there a number for noise like there is for volume.

My recordings come in between 30 and 37 depending on how much editing I have had to do and they have been for over 2000 recordings to date. You can consider this Section PL OK at 35.1 dB.

okay, that does make sense to me so thank you for your explanation. I was unaware that the thought of it being around 24.2 is not something for all to strive for. Thank you again and I will mark this section as pl okay in the mw.

No April it is not. It all depends on the persons recording environment, type of equipment etc. That is why you need to listen for the noise instead of using a number. My checker (newest version) by default does not even show noise anymore.

Let's please close this particular discussion. PLing is often a judgment call. My own recordings come in about 24 but I don't hold that same standard for others. I'm glad that both of you have expressed yourselves fully and ask that we move on.

And I thank you both for your many contributions to this project and to LibriVox in general.

I went in and tried to take out all the little gasps and tongue clicks I had. Hopefully, this is better!
