PL notes on section 18: Very nicely read. There were many places where slight deviations from the text were overlooked, as they did not change the meaning in any substantial way. Below, however, were a few that warranted correction as they did change meaning, etc.:

3:01 "success of the notes..." please delete "of"
9:55 "and no one never met" please delete "no"
16:23 "with white under parts" should be "with white upper parts"
18:40 "as we yet know" should be "we as yet know"
1910 "with the head surrounded by" should be "with the head surmounted by"
20:32 "curled and frayed with feathers" delete "with"
25:48 "are the three species" should be "are three species"

I fixed those errors.

Thank you for your corrections. We still have, however, the issue at 16:23: "with white under parts" should be "with white upper parts" I'm sure you can take care of this easily

Just a quick heads-up that I have recorded both my outstanding sections. They should be forthcoming shortly! :D

I would like to claim section 48. This is my first recording (after the 1-minute test, which I recently completed. See here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=83081)

Please credit me as "Katy Boyle." I don't have a website URL. Thank you!

Section 16 - 39:23 - https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/livinganimals2_16_various_128kb.mp3

Sorry it took so long! Lots of unexpected time where I couldn't record, and I had quite a few pickups/edits before submitting.

Thanks Joshua for your recording, which is a very animated and clear reading.

A couple of notes on section 21:

You'll have to rename your file to: livinganimals2_21_various_128kb
Also, just be aware that your volume at 86.4 is at the lowest end of the acceptable range (86-92), so can't go any lower.

At 1:10, there is an overly long silence which interrupts the reading
2:09 please delete page number "564"
3:34 "displaying a view" should be "displaying to view"
3:36 "of normal size" should be "of abnormal size"
4:01 please delete page number "565"
11:23 "at a singular meal" should be "at a single meal"
11:33 please delete page number "569"
15:41 "for which the latter" should be "for while the latter"
15:49 please delete page number "571"
18:26 "in those parts during the rainy seasons" should be "in those parts except during the rainy season"

Josh, I have some notes on your section 16, which was very articulately narrated:

I recommend that you begin your edits at the end so that the time stamps will not become distorted and you'll be able to find your place.

Many of the space intervals between paragraphs and even sentences, have a tendency to be too long. Several are so long, they suggest that you have stopped recording and therefore, they interrupt the narrative. These occur at 1:29, 1:37, 4:00 (6 seconds here), 10:19, 12:06, 14:44, 30:11, 34:30, 35:00, 39:07. Most of them are around 2 1/2 to 3 seconds in length.

At :56: "systemic arrangement" should be "systematic arrangement"
6:59: "builds a shelter of palm trees" should be "builds a shelter of palm leaves"
9:24: A phrase is missing: "that of the spotted bower bird"
10:16: "they are also strewed around" should be "they are also strewed down"
11:42: "is wholly inordinate in plumage" should be "is wholly inornate in plumage" [strange word, I know]
34:51: "which is accursed by the gardener" should be "which is accused by the gardener"

Please take off one second at the end.
