Hi Helen,
welcome to Librivox. I hope you wil enjoy here. I listened to the begining of chapter 8, you have a really lovely reading voice. The only thing I need is your catalogue name. How would you like to be credited? Under your real name, your forum name, or something else that you choose? Do you have a personal url which you would like us to link to your name?
In addition, would you like to read more sections from this book? Regards,
Stav.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.

Hi Stav,

You can use my real name, Helen Melara. I don't have a personal url at this time.
I will wait a bit before I take on more projects. I should have more time to volunteer in the fall.

Hi. I’m new to LibriVox. I have done the 1 minute test, and it came out alright. I’d like to take chapters 11 and 12 if that’s alright. Please confirm. Thanks! - Vonnie

Hello
Vonnie,
welcome to Librivox. I hope you will enjoy here. Chapters 11 and 12 are all yours. Please let us know under which name you would like to be credited in the catalogue. It can be your real name, your forum name, or something else that you choose. If you have questions, just ask. And have fun.

I redid the whole thing, and I took some time to learn more about narration and audio editing. Sorry it took so long to get done. I hope this will have better results!!

Thanks, Helen. How about you use the knowledge you gained and continue with 11 and 12?

11, 12 were assigned to Vonnie a few posts above. Stav and Helen, is it ok if we sign up Helen for 13 and 14?

Hi Helen
I listened to your entire file again and have a couple of small things that need to be corrected:

3:00 reckless pacing should be restless pacing
10:47 believe in her should be disbelieve in her

In the future, it is preferable that you not re-record the entire file again, but merely do spot edits to make corrections. Listening to a whole file again is very time consuming for the checker and not really necessary.

Deleting something in Audacity is very easy: Just highlight the section and use Control + x

Adding something is likewise easy. You're basically doing a copy and paste:

Highlight the section where you want to add. Use Control + n to open a new window.
Record the new text in the new window and then copy it (Control + c). Close the new window without saving.

Return to your original window and click at the top in a neutral spot. Use Control + v and your new text will appear in the spot you had highlighted previously.

I can sign Helen up for 13 and 14. And I don't need to add the revised file to the mw, it is added otomaticly.

Yes, when the filename is the same, there is no change needed in the MW :)

Thank you! Waiting on confirmation from Helen for the assigned sections.

Thank you!
I had a horrible moment where I thought that an error had occurred.
