"Section 16 has 11 seconds of silence at the end now. If you look at the Audacity window, there is a dropdown menu at the lower right corner of the screen (down below the waveform). Choose "Length and End of Selection" and you will be able to highlight the silence and see how long it is. I took a screenshot of my screen so you can see what I am talking about (look for the black arrow)

Section 17 sounds wonderful. There are a microphone bumps at 01:30, 06:02, and 07:38 that need to be removed, and there are only 3 seconds of silence at the end of the file (there needs to be 5). Once those two things are fixed, the file will be PL OK. Thanks"

Thanks Jessica! Section 16 is perfect now and is PL OK. Somehow, the volume of Section 17 is now far too low at 84 dB. I'm not sure how this happened, as the volume was spot-on the first time I checked the file. Anyhow, the volume will need to be adjusted to around 89 dB. To adjust the volume in Audacity, select the whole recording. Click Effect > Amplify. In the Amplification box, enter the number +2.2 dB. Verify that the file is around 89 dB using Checker. Let me know when you're ready for me to check the file again. So sorry for the inconvenience!

Wow, BEAUTIFUL reading! Your interpretation of the characters' voices sounds just like I imagined the characters' voices to be. Both sections are PL OK.
