Hi Lynnet,

I was able to cut the announcement yet I do not think I was able to cut out the last few minutes. Sorry. I tried twice. Hope it worked.
Thanks

I can hear your recording and it is indeed 20:12 long and is indeed for Chapter XIV. Unfortunately, the technical setting is probably wrong when you made this recording. Please use CHECKER or other tools that had helped you to pass the "1-minute test" in the first place, and do not change the setting from how you made the "1-minute test".

Your voice sounds far from the speaker, and with some noises and a bit of echo.

I will listen to your section once you double-check the technical setting for your recording.

Regards,
Jessie

Hi Lynnet,

Here's my recording:
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/sayandsealvol2_16_warner_128kb.mp3

File Duration: 20:12

Hope it's alright.

Thanks,
Reham
Thank you!

I did pass the checker app validation. But it seems there was too much noise and filtering it distorted the rest of the recording.

I will repeat the reading in a more-controlled environment, and resubmit it for PL.

I hope to do a better job this time.

Cheers,
Reham

PL note:

I listened to this 40:34 recording of Section 14. It is very nicely read and recorded. Except for one little thing - no need to have "end of the book" unless it is the last section of the project that actually ends the bool. Therefore please remove that announcement at 40:22 - 40:28.

Everything else is perfect. I look forward to listening to your updated version!

Regards,
Jessie

PL note:

Please correct - sorry that I failed to point out earlier that you should read the chapter as "46", not 49. The section is 49, which you said correctly at the beginning but at 0:27 you announced the chapter as 49, which should be 46 (XLVI).

I hope there is a solution to this technical problem. I listened to it and the recording nicely ended at 32:45 therefore we need to trim off all the extra silence after 32:50.

All the rest is perfect; if you have tried your best, we will see if Lynnet may have further advice for ya!

Regards,
Jessie

Yes, the content of sections 26 and 27 are beautifully read but technically, if someone could please double-check the parameters would be great. I do feel the volume is kind of lower than it is normally shown on my computer.

Thanks,
Jessie

PL note:

I am very sorry that I did not listen to your recording timely enough, especially when I have to point out this classical mistake that you hereby practiced. It is Chapter XXXII and Section 35 you wanted to read; unfortunately what I heard was perfectly the content of Chapter 35 (XXXV), which had been done by another reader.

Please kindly take time and read Chapter 32 (XXXII). My feedback is that you read very nicely the content, only the wrong chapter.

Another thing, small but important, please leave 5 seconds, instead of one second of silence at the end of your recording.

Regards,
Jessie

PL note:

One little feedback on the 26:33 recording for Section-36:
1:21 - 1:24 repeated "and putting it in her hands"

The rest is all perfect. Many thanks for your contribution!

Jessie

Hi Jessie,

I have repeated the recording for Section 16, and re-uploaded it here:
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/sayandsealvol2_16_warner_128kb.mp3

The file duration is 19:02.

Hope the quality is better this time. :D

Hi, I corrected my file by eliminating the incorrect sentence at the end.
Do I need to upload it again or just let you know that I completed it?
Thank you
