Very interesting stuff.
Section 64 PL notes:
06:06 Missing words ("As Matthew of Vendome had already sung,
Papa regit reges, dominos dominatur")
20:22 Repeat ("and Wienerisch . . . and Wienerisch-Neustadt")

Lovely reading. Thanks for participating.

For section 20, the chapter is titled 'Florence (II): Machiavelli'. How should I read the II? 'Florence, continued ... Machiavelli', or just ignore it entirely and read 'Florence ... Machiavelli'?

Just want to make sure we're all consistent on that one.

Well, here's my first trouble spot: on page 260 in the second paragraph is a sentence in Greek (I think), and not only can I not read it, but no translation is offered. The text is also not OCR'd sufficiently for me to use google translate either. I'm not sure what to do here unless someone knows Greek. Thoughts anyone?

I do, but I’m better at Latin. I can at least check your Greek once you’ve recorded it. In the meantime, you had better post in the pronunciation help thread found here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=40285 If no one bites, I can give it a try.

If we can make the text intelligible as is, that would be best. Please read it as "Florence... two... Machiavelli", setting these words apart by short pauses and intonation.

Thanks!

Great, I'll read it that way then.
