The Myths and Fables of To-day Samuel Adams Drake by Samuel Adams Drake (1833-1905).

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-myths-and-fables-of-to-day-by-samuel-adams-drake/

This book is in the public domain in the USA. Readers should know what their public domain is if they are from a different country, the author passed away in 1905-115 years ago. There are 15 sections .

Samuel Adams was born in 1833, began journalism in 1858, served in the Army for 10 years & returned home to continue with his journalism. Journalism must have been his passion as he did write many books with this one being one of his last.
‘The Myths and Fables of To-day’ is a wonderful collection of myths & fables that are certain to keep the kids smiling.

This project is looking for a DPL (Dedicated Proof Listener). DPL found.

  1. Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/44177
    .

.IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Are you sure the dates in the first post for the author are right - it's odd that it was published in 1900 and "today" seems more 1900s ?
