Great work! PL OK.

I’m going to need to look this up. "The extradition of Mrs. Mattie Rich, a citizen of the United States, charged with homicide committed in Mexico, was after mature consideration directed by me in the conviction that the ends of justice would be thereby subserved."

Such a wonderful time to be living in.

In 1888, Henry Ford married Clara Bryant, and they had a son, Edsel, in 1893.
That same year, Ford was made chief engineer at the Edison Illuminating Company’s main plant in Detroit, Michigan.
Charged with keeping the city’s electricity flowing, Ford was on call 24 hours a day.
On August 15, 1899, he resigned his position as chief engineer at Edison
in order to concentrate on automobile production.

That resignation worked out very well.

5:00 repeat - Satisfactory assurances have already been given by the diplomatic representatives of Great Britain, Mexico, (uh, uh, uh, who else). I love PLing for you these days. I never know what I’m going to find. :D

6:22 word change - In accordance with an act of Congress approved December 21, 1898, and under the auspices of the Philadelphia Commercial Museum, a most interesting and valuable exposition of products and manufactures especially adapted to export trade was held in Philadelphia from the 14th of September to the 1st of December, 1899.

13:07 word change - There has been paid thereon $11,762,543.12, which has been covered into the Treasury, and the remainder, payable within ten years, with interest at the rate Of 3 per cent per annum, payable semiannually, is secured by the deposit of an equal amount of first-mortgage bonds of the Pacific Railway companies.

So, I've got a noob question, do I re-record just that paragraph, the sentence, or should I re-do the whole section? I tried looking it up in the FAQ, but couldn't find it.

Certainly not the entire section. Some readers will just record the word. I find it easier to blend into the existing audio if I record at least part of the sentence. I usually go for the whole sentence though.

If you record the paragraph over then let me know where the new piece starts and stops so I can be sure that everything new is included in the spot check.

Here is a video that may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9NuSuWYaWg&feature=youtu.be

Section One Correction:

I re-did just that sentence. (11:57 - 12:06) I changed my recording setup between then and now, and I think I did a good job blending the volume with the surrounding sentences, but please let me know if I should re-something. Also, I was unsure if I needed to export as a different filename, but it looks like the uploader took the new file with "no problemmo" as the kids say.

Spot check PL OK. The edit sounds great.

When you upload a file with the same name as an existing the original file is renamed so we never lose anything.

Hi Kevin,
Much more interesting than Cleveland. His writing style is more story like.

7:24 – word change - So strong was this belief that it needed but a brief Executive suggestion to the Congress to receive immediate answer to the duty of making instant provision for the possible and perhaps speedily probable emergency of war, and the remarkable, almost unique, spectacle was presented of a unanimous vote of both Houses, on the 9th of March, appropriating $50,000,000 "for the national defense and for each and every purpose connected therewith, to be expended at the discretion of the President."

OPTIONAL: - 30:01 – word change - Their forces invested Manila from the northern and eastern sides, but were constrained by Admiral Dewey and General Merrill from attempting an assault.
Both corrections made.

I'm a little worried that I gained 2 seconds, though. Don't really understand that.

No need for concern. I pulled up your first file for comparison. You gave a bit of a longer pause in your corrections before continuing with the recording.

Old time - 7:21:46 - 7:24:96
New time- 7:21:76 - 7:25:39

Old time - 29:57:83 - 30:02:96
New time- 29:57:33 - 30:04:25

Oh, btw - spot check PL OK. :D
