here is Section 3: "The Dog-Shaped Monkeys"

https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/livinganimals1_03_cornish_128kb.mp3

Duration: 8:32

Now I can start recording those lonely baboons...
PL notes:
Everything is looking and sounding good, except that you said "Section 2" in both the intro and outro. Could you please fix that and re-post?

Thank you! :)

PL notes:
Please shorten the silences at both ends, as they are currently - beginning silence 3.7 sec, & end silence 6.2 sec.

Otherwise all's good! I like the expression you put into the reading to bring it to life.

Thanks,
Ooops - sorry! 😉😉😉 Here it is again:

Here's the updated Chimp file. Please let me know if this is ok and if you have any questions. Thanks again!

https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/livinganimals1_01_cornish_128kb.mp3

Time is 8:54
PL Notes:
*Volume is still too high... Are you using Audacity? Go to 'Effect', then select 'Amplify'. In the top box enter -5.6, then hit OK. That should get the desired 89 dB on the dot.

*End silence is now ~6.7 seconds. To check the length in Audacity, I like setting it so that I see the 'length of selection' in the last box on the bottom. (In case that's something you haven't yet discovered. :)) And it's true that it doesn't have to be exact on the 5 seconds, but we like to have it within half a second or so.

By the way, do you have 'Checker' already? Checker is such a handy tool that I think it's pretty much a must for all LVers! :) Just in case you don't have it, here's a link to the wiki page that talks about it and has a link to the developer's website where you can download it. (It's virus free! ) https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker

Please feel free to reach out to me or Leni via PM if you need help with this! I feel bad for giving you more notes, but hopefully these instructions and tips can help- even in the long run.

Have a blessed weekend!

Sure, section assigned, thanks!

(soooo many deer sections in this book... I suspect the author was a fan of deer, somehow...)
