here are sections 10 and 11, which I also ran through the Checker. The program says only "passed" not what the db volume is. I must be missing something...

All best,
Linda

ah - found it - 90.8 and 90.9 respectively for sections 10 and 11. Thanks again for the learning!

yes I guess you found it now, there are two tabs, the one only says passed, but the other is much more specific and detailed

Hmm. 8,10,11 all come out 92.9 dB, 92.6 dB, and 92.4 dB with a "passed with warning" note.
The volume is under the "information" tab at the bottom.

I would use the Amplify feature and just set it to -3 for each of these and they should be fine.

Most importantly -- just quite excellent reading.
I'm really looking forward to listening to the rest of your recordings.

Thank you! I am enjoying Señor Gracian very much, I think he would have been fun to hang out with, maybe have a prudent glass of wine...

Two of these came out at 90.8 and 90.9 at my end, with Passed status. I can run the Amplify -3 on the .aup files and recreate the mp3 but I'm curious if you have received latest mp3? Either way, I'll send over the newer files. Mysterious, and sorry for the hassle.

Best,
Linda

Well, I don't know what to say.
These are only slightly changed.
Here is what I get from Checker:

08 92.9 dB
10 90.9 dB
11 90.8 dB

I will mark 10 and 11 PL OK since they are just within the range, but 8 still needs to come down.

Hello. Sorry for the silly question, but here goes: When reading the text, do I read the Latin as well?
If someone could let me know, I would really appreciate it! :)

Larry, I also just now checked them with Checker and I get the readings:
08. 88.3
10. 88.4
11. 88.9

Maybe they were reuploaded after you downloaded from the MW. Sometimes the browser's cache keep downloading the same old file for a bit longer. I had that problem before as well.
But now they seem all fine :)

can you tell me at what page exactly ? But yes, usually the rule is: we read everything that is written, the way it was written, and we don't edit, modernize or add anything to the text. So if the Latin is inside the text, then yes, we will include it. Exceptions are sometimes made for footnotes, but I think this book doesn't have footnotes. If you tell me the precise page I can give you a more informed answer.

And thanks for asking !
