Thank you, Ruth! These are in the MW, waiting for PL.

However, please be careful with your file naming! These file names all have spelling errors, as well as incorrect section numbers! When you are saving your recordings, the best way to ensure the correct name is to copy the example name from the first post and paste it into your save window. Then just change the numbers. And many books (this one included) have situations where the chapter number is not the same as the section number. You should always use the section number, which is the first column in the MW. In this case, these are sections 30, 31, and 32.

Let's wait for the PL report before changing anything at this point. If you have any corrections to make to the recording(s), you can fix the naming errors at the same time. If not, I can fix it when I catalogue this project.

Apologies for this - I obviously didn’t read the instructions properly

What do we do about pictures in a text? Do we read the captions for them?

Second Question: Do I need to say "End of Book 7" after I say "End of Chapter 22?"

1) Ignore them. No need to read the captions. They probably wouldn't make sense stuck in the middle of the audio anyway. On the other hand, if the text specifically references an image, such as "As shown in figure 12, the insect has six legs..." or whatever, then you would read the text as written, without omitting the reference.

2) Great question. I'm really not particular on this. I'm not sure what has ben done in previous volumes, and in fact, I'd be surprised if it has been consistent up to this point. It couldn't hurt to include it. But I don't mind either way.

I am not sure if the following will require updates or not. Foon, please advise on that.

Yes, I am sorry about that. They are sections 30-32, but chapters 8-10. I will update the post.

Foon is no longer involved in this project. She was the original soloist, but when the project was abandoned, I stepped in as BC. I just never changed the name on the first post. Sorry for the confusion.

To answer your question, I wouldn't be worried if it was just the file name issue. I can easily fix that. But I do think it's important that the author's name be recognizable, so the pronunciation should be corrected. I've heard Pliny pronounced to rhyme with either Winnie or tiny. I think either is correct.

So Ruth, please do correct those instances of the author's name, and when you do, please correct the file names at the same time. Thanks!
