Unfortunately our PLer won't be able to continue PLing, so we are looking for a new DPLer.

Thanks! I suppose you have not PLed before, have you? If not, please take a look at our Guide for Prooflisteners and let me know if you have doubts. Also, under which name should I credit you as a PLer? Thanks!

Thanks for the response. No, I haven't PLed before. I will check the Guide For Prooflisteners and come back to you.

I have completed the Guide that you suggested and have no fears about proceeding to the next stage. I am not sure what name I should tender for you to credit me as a PLer. My real name (Max Tomlinson) I guess???

Ok, sounds good to me! I will add you to the project now, and you will have access to the window, so you can change yourself the status of each section, and add notes. More information on how to log into the window is here. Doubts? Don't hesitate to ask! :D

I would be happy to DPL this one, and learn more about the stratagems and aqueducts. I will have to divide my time for the next couple of weeks between this and the other one I am DPL on (Evolution of Modern Medicine) but we're about 70-80% done on that one, and I have capacity.

No, I think listening to the preface first will be helpful  But this project is not moving very fast, so, no worries.

I started with this one. Gosh - congratulations on your Latin pronunciation and ability to read Greek, not to mention reel off Roman numbering at a staggering speed rate (although it meant I had to read some of them twice).
Herewith, PL issues:
~ 7.23 text says 'enumerating the lengths and ...' I am not sure what I hear for lengths, but I could not clearly distinguish the word lengths
~ 10.06 text says ...' books between 84 and 96'. I know the crossbars on the figure is very faint, but I but I am pretty sure it is 84 (not 81 as read)
~ 19.03 repeated phrase and two
~ 19.06 the text says "... regarded as interpolated, i.e. parts of ..." but you have read 'for example' (which would be e.g) rather than i.e.
~ 19.31 text says II.v.34 (not 31); IV.v.14 (not 11) the cross bar on the 4 has barely reproduced, is faint and hard to see
~20.04 ...and II.viii.9 (not 8) follow II.viii.10...
~ ... text says II.v.34; IV.v.14 rather than the 31 and 11 read; those pesky faint 4s again
~ 20.04 text says ... and II.viii.9 (not 8 as read)
Whew!
