Here is Section 22:

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/atozed_22_various_128kb.mp3
Title: Varney the Vampire (Chapter One)
Authors: Thomas Preskett Prest and James Malcolm Rymer
Text: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/14833/14833-h/14833-h.htm
Duration: 21:29

N.B. #1 for PL: The only tricky thing is that the text randomly switches back & forth between present tense and past tense; I did it exactly as written.
N.B. #2 for PL: At 12:33, I say "froze" -- yes, it's ungrammatical (should be "frozen"), but this is in the text, so I kept it at "froze," in the spirit of this full-blooded melodrama.

This piece is so horrible & so hilarious!
Just what I needed, no kidding...LJB

PL notes for section 1:

@ 4:19 Repeat "End of section 1."

@ 4:22 Added: "End of A to Zed," but this is section 1. Please don't be done with this collection already Kevin! :D <smile>

Thank you.
Fixed, I hope.

Just stopping in to let those who have not yet been able to complete their submission that there is no problem with anyone asking to be released from their claim.

It looks like most have some 10 days or so to do the recording, so there is no real rush. I don't intend to offer extensions, however, unless you sweet talk me.

If you can't finish your recording, do you mind if someone else were to record your selection? They all look pretty interesting and even entertaining.

For you Catholics, I think I can arrange for a plenary indulgence upon the completion of your recording. (Oh boy. Now I have to go to confession.)

I have begun recording mine, and I'm about 1/3 of the way into it. So I would appreciate an extension, unless by chance I am able to finish in the next week or so. Thanks!

I have my three recorded, so here is Section 26:

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/atozed_26_various_128kb.mp3 16:00

Zeritsky's Law by Ann Warren Griffith (1918 - 1983)
Published 1951

Ugh! I should have checked, because we already have two versions of this story on the LV catalog.

I really try to avoid duplication, or triplication, as the case may be, because there is so much left to record. But, oh well, now there are three choices for the discriminating listener, and I don't have the time or inclination to search for another Zed piece after recording and editing this one.
