Hi! The first thing you need to do is your 1 minute test, as described in the Wiki or in your welcome email. Then come back here and read for this project!

These are quite long chapters for a newbie, so I might just give you Ch 20 to start with.

Sure, I’ll put you down for those!

Here is chapter 30, with a length of 35:35:

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/hellenic_30_botsford_128kb.mp3

That was very difficult with too many Greek names where I was unsure of pronunciation. I did my best... :?

Unfortunately, chapter 29 is even worse in this respect, so I'm afraid I will have to return it to the pool for somebody who knows how to say these properly in English. I'm very sorry to let you down, it's not done lightly, I can assure you.
Cheers, Ava.

Thanks Availle! Brilliant work on a long section!

Maybe I’ll read 29 myself - good practice for me to keep up with my kids! (They speak Greek with my husband, I’m the one letting the team down at home!)

Wonderful job, Availle--thank you! :) Just one quick fix for you.

Hi!
I would like to challenge myself with Chapter 29.

Eysiss

Edit: whoa sorry Elizabby. Just read your comment.
Maybe I’ll read 29 myself - good practice for me to keep up with my kids! (They speak Greek with my husband, I’m the one letting the team down at home!)
Feel free to keep the 29 for yourself, you are certainly more skilled!

I would like -then- to read sec. 12 "The Age of the War Heroes: 1, Political and Economic"

Hi Availle--Thank you for the quick fix!

Section 30: PL OK

I show that the edited file is actually 35:32 in length, so that is what I've put in the MW. The deleted repeat was only a few seconds long, so I think that your stated length of 31:08 might be an typo? :)

You're right - sorry 'bout that. I'm a bit frazzled at the edges these days... :(

No worries--I seem to be in a state of frazzlement most of the time myself lately--! :) Just thought that I had best check with you in case I was missing something.
