Thanks very much Ruth for the new recording!
I will try and listen to it this afternoon and get back to you on the volume issue.
They are usually very easy to fix once we know what the issue is - it could be that you cannot amplify anymore.

Hi Ruth!
Your recording sound is spot on! It came in on the Checker at 88.6 dB so that is very close to 89 dB which is our target!
One comment which you can do in the future - we usually like to see .5 to 1 second of silence at the beginning of a recording. Yours started immediately. Just watch that for your next recording and leave a bit more space
What I do need you to do is to add a little more blank space onto the end of your recording. Two seconds is not long enough - we look for approximately 5 seconds. If you need help doing this just let me know and I will send you some instructions. You just need to copy and paste a section of the current silent part into itself and then it will get bigger and closer to the 5 seconds....

Thank you all!
Ruth, let us know if you need any help with adding silence to the end of the recording.
There is NO requirement to leave between 0.5 to 1 second of silence at the START of the recording. The silence should just not be too long. Anything between no silence at all and two heartbeats is fine.

Thanks everyone for participating and helping out- and special thanks to Carolin for hosting it! I never would've found such a fun cooking manual as this on my own.
Thanks Lmnei for PLing, your notes definitely helped improve my overall recordings.
