Can I claim 12 and 13, aka both halves of The Key of the Study?

Hi and welcome to librivox!

You are welcome to participate in this project. As this is your first claim, i will add you to the reader database. To be able to sign you up, i need to know under which name or pseudonym you would like to appear in the catalog. We can also link to your personal website or blog.

Thank you! Skweeky is fine, and I've got no website to link.

It's a bit of a hack job thanks to air con, flatmates and laptop buzzing but I've learned a lot so everything should be easier going forward!

This is a very lively and passionate narration, Skweeky. A great first attempt as a new reader.
I found a few minor corrections that should be made before PL OK status.

After the Librivox disclaimer and before the start of the first passage, the title of the story and its author must be stated. In this case for section 12 it’s, “The Key of the Study, part 1, by W.J. Prowse”.

02:17, pg.202: “Once only” is being referred to as “Only once”.

04:44, pg.204: The word “since” has been excluded from “and there had since been only one heavy cloud upon him”.

You mentioned that there were some hacked in sections of narration and while in some areas of a passage it can be noticed that it was recorded at different times, it’s not jarring and there’s no instance where it interferes with the overall understanding of the passage.

Thank you Stefan! It's now sitting at dead on 27:00.

(I don't know how the catalogue linking works and don't want to assume the previous link will update!)

Thank you for your first contribution to Librivox. In regards to the links, a new upload with the same file name will overwrite the previous version but it is still required for the reader to post the link to the forum with any updated time.
