I made the PL corrections as best I could. I hope everything is fine now.

Well, the pendulum has swung and now the ending silences are too long. 10 is 9 sec, and 44 is 8 sec.
Also, the volume of 44 is still too low, measuring only 83.4 dB. Our target is 89 dB with a range of 86-92 dB.
If you are using Audacity, just use the Amplification feature set to 5.6 and you should be on target.

Finally, there is an error in the file names above. There needs to be an underscore before the section number: loveandlonging_10_raskin

So, give it another try.
Your reading is excellent, and we'll get these technical issues ironed out. :)

Please help: how I can see on Audacity what the recording volume is for a recording I have completed because I have set it to 0.89 on Audacity yet it was too loud before, now it is too soft.

Hiya, thanks for asking :)

You cant really see the volume in audacity, sadly. Eventually, you will be able to judge the right volume by looking at your wave forms, but until then, we need to use some tricks.

I recommend using a little add on called replareplaygain. You can find the tutorial here https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity
Replaygain is nice because it sets your recording volume to 89 decibel with a minimum of fuss.

Try it out and let us know if it works! Thank you!

These are all PL OK, Elaine!
Thanks so much.

Carolin, if you like, I can fix the issues with the two sections with PL Notes so we can finish this.
Just let me know.

I used replaygain ( I hoped I used it correctly), I edited the silences to get them to as close to 5 seconds as possible and I renamed the files. I sincerely hope I have finally got things right. It seems I am the reason the book has been held up. Sorry everyone.

Thank you :D

Also, nothing to worry about taking a little while. One reader must be the last, and there is no shame in that at all! Thank you for your corrected sections
