Hello, Elaine!
Thank you for your contribution to this book! Your reading flows well.

There are a few misreads, which I note here:

3:01 Text: "the more she shuddered at the idea of *braving* a return to her husband."
I hear: *heaving*

3:45 Text: "For she still saw the beautiful flower which her imagination had created, and which faded ..."
I hear: "for she still saw the beautiful flower with her imagination, which her imagination ..."

9:04 Text: "and *Betty* guessed it rightly"
I hear: "and *Bessy* guessed it rightly"

9:07 Text: "although the young man had no idea of her having done so."

There is word omission, changing sentence meaning: "her"

13:57
Text: "Then tell Miss Winston that her friend"
I hear "Then tell me, Miss Winston"

14:08 Text: "Mr. Pierre will await her in *Central* Park"
I hear: "Mr. Pierre will await her in *General* Park"

Also, the file name is misspelled. When you make the corrections, would you please change that as well?

Overall, a very pleasant listen; I'm happy to spot check the recording, upon your convenience in re-uploading with corrections.

Please let us know if we may help you.

~Angelique

Please help us record The History of Pendennis, a lesser-known but no less fabulous novel of Thackeray's!

Dear Grace and Carolin,

I have removed the clicks and reduced the background noise in Audacity (Noise Reduction equaling 9).

The duration is 20m50s.

Thanks!

Thank you for section 26!

A few notes:

Intro: "End of Section 6" Should be: "End of Section 24"

5:29 Stumble
Text: think of your dead
I hear: de-dead

10:19 Text: ‘You insult me!” she cried angrily.
I hear: eagerly

10:54 Stumble
Text: Your answer?^^ she demanded like an empress.
I hear any .. like an empress

13:16 Text: "Vanquished again!
I hear "vanished"

Outro says: "End of section 6" instead of "End of section 24"

I'm happy to spot check, upon your chance to load with corrections.

Hello, Elaine.
I fear I may have confused you.
The last notes were for Section 26.
Please reupload that section, with the corrections.
Of course the I & O should state "26" ... not "24" as I wrote. My apology! *Blush*

Let us know if we can help you.

Dear Elaine!

ARRGGG!

It IS to be Section 24, so the intro should state:
"Section 24 of The Rose-colored World (ect.)"

The Outro and all else were corrected.
Thank you!
(And apologies. Just goes to the point that none of us are perfect ... which is why we have one another, to help with the "fixes". *Smile*)

Best,
~Angelique
