Hi Hannah,

Please find below my audio recording of Section 56 (Chapter XXXVIII) ready for PL'ing:
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/daisychain_56_yonge_128kb.mp3
Time: 30:51

Best wishes,
Chad
Hi Chad, The technical specs of your recording all check out, and I enjoy hearing the story in your lilting Irish-English which reminds me of some of my favorite musicians, Keith and Kristyn Getty! Would you just be willing to edit out some mistakes, coughs, and gaps that distract a listener? Thanks! The parts to be deleted are in * *.

13.04 *full of tears* is corrected in the next phrase
16.04 repeat *and harrassed*
17.40 triple repeat of *do you recollect*
17.50 repeat *Norman, who was*
18.56 *cough*
19.26 *and when I* repeat
20.09 *If I had not* is corrected in the next phrase
20.24-28 *watched over... (gap)... repeat*
21.29 *with Dr. May* repeat
22.36 *and Ethel was within the curtain* repeat
23.45 *but what can you see*
24.00-24.07 delete long gap

If you are interested in recording more of this story, just head over to "The Trial" by Charlotte Mary Yonge. The recording of this sequel has begun!

Here is Section 53. Time is 34m18s

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/daisychain_53_yonge_128kb.mp3
This is almost ready, Brooke! Could you just increase the decibel level closer to 90 dB? It is currently below the LV range at 82.4 dB.

Absolutely! Is there a way to do this via Audacity or do I need to re-record?

I know it can be done easily in Audacity, but I'm afraid I don't know how, as I use Audition. But here is a link to a YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_z607awyLw) explaining the process which I found on this LV wiki page. (https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Audacity_1-2-3)

If you need more help, check out the "Need Help? Got Advice?" section of the LV forum.

That was super-simple to fix; thank you, Hannah!

Hope this is an acceptable decibel level :)

I will get on my last section first chance this week...which will be the first evening my kids all go to bed on time (haha)

(PS I also love the Getty's music! I look forward to listening to Chad's recordings when it's all done  )

There was only one repeated phrase and the volume was too low, but I went ahead and took care of those edits so we are all finished up tonight! Thanks so much for your contributions, and come find us over at the sequel called "The Trial" if you wish!
