Here is Section 21--interesting rules for the anchoresses. Jim
this was a difficult section with all the middle English texts. But from now on you will probably get loads of those so be prepared
All PL ok again. Thank you.

As long as you are happy, I am happy. And thanks. Jim
section 22 PL ok. Brrr I don't like the long lists of MSS he keeps throwing at the reader I'm more looking forward to hearing examples from the actual texts.
Thank you, Jim, great job for persisting through this one.

Here is Section 23--inching closer and closer to the real thing! Jim
ah yes, more texts now in the original. I hope he will not translate them all into modern English, the sections would be so much shorter if he left that part out
And again PL ok, thanks, Jim. Proceeding nicely here.

as you may have noticed, I rearranged the final chapters a little bit, I hope that is ok with you. I managed to make 4 sections less that way and I think they fit nicely together.

Here are Sections 24 and 25--glad to know more about this one. Jim
yes this epic work is quite something. You did really well with the Middle English here. And this is not so difficult to understand even for modern readers. It was an interesting section.neecheelok70 wrote: ↑March 1st, 2020, 9:54 amHere are Sections 24 and 25--glad to know more about this one.
I only found one tiny stumble in Section 24:
> at 14:09: (p. 251) stumble and repeat " as anchors and heremites" – a small part can be cut
> at 18:19: (p. 255) here ends the section, but I was wondering now whether we should not make one section of the two and have the whole poem in one section. Both sections together are barely 35 minutes, so it's not that long and then we would have an ensemble for this part. I thought it would be much longer, but the poetry lines are so short that it took less time than expected.
If you agree, could you simply paste the other section here ? The outro can be left as it's still the same section. But the next sections will have different numbers, as I will delete one section. Waiting for confirmation before I do anything though.
Thank you

Here is the new Section 24--corrected and extended to include the former Section 25. Jim
super, thank you Jim. Glad you agree. Please also feel free to change the next 5 Chaucer sections, if you think that they can be turned into let's say only 3 sections of about 25-30 minutes, if you find a better breaking point. These divisions are not set in stone.neecheelok70 wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 8:10 am Here is the new Section 24--corrected and extended to include the former Section 25. Jim

Thank you, Sonia. I agree it is better this way, keeps the poem together as it were. I will see about the Chaucer. Jim
